Therapeutic Open Art Studio for Parents Register View Cart

art
Parents are invited to join local art therapist Tova Speter, LMHC for a free therapeutic drop-in open art studio to have a space to relax, exhale, and find some creative respite during these challenging times.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. With so many people overwhelmed by events in the world or in their personal experience, gathering together and making art is a way to manage through and engage in some self-care.

Open art studios are a model of art therapy that offers a community space for people to spend their time making art with the freedom to choose materials and the option to stay as long as they like. It allows for creative self expression and connection - both of which have benefits both for individuals as well as for the larger community. Engaging in art-making is inherently therapeutic, as is connecting people with their creative spirit.

All art materials will be provided and no prior art experience is necessary!
This open studio is intended for parents and guardians.
